Many people have asked if a mirrorless or hybrid camera is good enough. When the Panasonic Lumix GF5 was released, I loaned a set and asked Sharon Au if she would help me with my little experiment. The project soon blew into a full scale commercial shoot with David Gan from Passion Hair, Keith Png from Hide & Seek and Chris Ruth from Muse b’Art contributing their precious time and talent to this project. Big thanks to Air Furniture for letting us use their location, Cathay Photo for the wonderful wifi-capable Rotolight ANOVA lights and Panasonic Singapore for the loan of the Panasonic Lumix GF5.

This video shows how the setup is done.
And finally the end result at 30 frames per second.

In this video I demonstrate how each stop of light is 2 times brighter or darker using just the shutter speed.
My neighbour had a cracked UV filter that was stuck to his lens one day and we started the video rolling as I attempted to remove it.
The solution is to use a rubberized surface to provide grip on the ridges in the front of the filter.
